Neuromodulators

What are neuromodulators?

Neuromodulators target the cause of fine lines and wrinkles from repeated facial expressions over the years. Having these products injected allows your muscles to relax and temporarily improves your skins appearance.

What to expect

Prior to your visit you'll want to avoid alcohol, anti-inflammatory medications, and waxing or hair removal creams for 24 hours. At your first appointment you'll complete a brief consultation that will include a couple medical forms, your injector will explain the process of the injection, answer any questions you might have and will prepare your skin for the injections. Your first appointment will take slightly longer than following appointments but will still last less than one hour. For best results after your injection, you should do the following after your appointment: avoid laying down for 4 hours (this allows the product to settle properly), avoid massaging your face, and not engage in strenuous physical activity for 24 hours. Results generally take between 3 and 14 days to take effect and last between 4 and 6 months.

What areas can be treated?

The areas that neuromodulators can be used is vast, but the most commonly treated areas include forehead lines, crow's feet, Glabella (11 lines between eyebrows), upper lip (commonly known as a lip flip, which helps reduce a gummy smile).
